How to create your own hosting plan

Typically, you have to identify how much web space and bandwidth you need for your websites. We have to know your needs so we can give you an appropriate and fair quote of your web hosting requirements.

How would you know? What is hosting web space and bandwidth?

PINOY WEB SPACE OR DISK SPACE

Web space or disk space is measured, at the minimum, by megabytes or MB up to gigabytes or GB. A normal webpage come in typically at 1KB per page without much content - probably a blank page or just a few texts in it. A typical website with the usual text content scrolling a little bit will only require between 3 to 15KB of space. A page with graphics typically are heavy as well and can come between 10KB to 100KB.

An MB of space means basically as 1,024 KB of data that requires the same web space on the server. Now since we are here, its worthwhile also for you to know that a thousand of 1MB data means that you need 1GB of space.

So if you have a five pager website, you dont need to pay for a 500MB web space (unless you have super-duper heavy web graphics). Normally, 10 -50 MB is sufficient to host your 5-pager sites.

However, if you have thousands of webpages and web graphics and has some scripts running (like a shopping cart or content management systems), then it's a different story altogether. Here you might need to get from 50MB to 1GB of hosting space.

That's why we don't fix our plans for customers. Instead, we let our customers fix their plan for themselves and pay for it. Again, we only want you to pay for your needs. Not our needs to fix the plans.

PINOY BANDWIDTH OR DATA TRANSFER

As for bandwidth (AKA data transfer), the amount of your requirement will depend on how popular your site is. The more visitors you have, the greater bandwidth you need. This means that your pages needs to be rendered and served by the server each time they are accessed by your visitors. That transfer of data is measured through your bandwidth consumption. The ingress and egress of visitors consume bandwidth.

Much like the disk space, you can tell us how busy your site is and we will give you indication how much bandwidth you need. Again, you dont have to pay for the excess. Tell us what you need and we will quote for it.
